    • School Day

    The school gates open at 8.40am and close at 8.55am.  The school day ends at 3.10pm for Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2, 3.15pm for Year 3 and Year 4 and at 3.20pm for Year 5 and Year 6.  As well as a prompt arrival at school, parents/carers are asked to support staff in ensuring that children are dismissed safely at the end of each day.

    School Opening Hours

    Key Stage 1
    Foundation, Year 1 & Year 2: 8.40am - 3.10pm. 32.5 hours per week.

    Key Stage 2
    Years 3 & 4: 8.40am - 3.15pm.  32.75 hours per week.
    Years 5 & 6: 8.40am - 3.20pm.  33.5 hours per week.

    • Children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 must be collected from the classroom door by an adult who is listed as having permission to collect on the school system.  To note, those under the age of sixteen years old will not be permitted to collect a child in these year groups, except in the most exceptional of circumstances and with permission from the school’s safeguarding team.  This must be agreed in advance with parents/carers.
    • Children in Years 3 and 4 must be collected from the KS2 yard (Meyler Avenue) by an adult who is listed as having permission to collect on the school system.  To note, those under the age of sixteen years old will not be permitted to collect a child in these year groups, except in the most exceptional of circumstances and with permission from the school’s safeguarding team.  This must be agreed in advance with parents/carers.
    • Children in Year 5 should either be collected from the KS2 yard (Meyler Avenue) by an adult who is listed as having permission to collect on the school system, or with permission from parents, will be allowed to walk home on their own.
    • Children in Year 6 should either be collected from the Eastwood Avenue entrance by an adult who is listed as having permission to collect on the school system, or with permission from parents, will be allowed to walk home on their own.

    PE Days November 2025 Onwards

    Every child will have PE/Games during the week to promote regular exercise.  

    Children are to attend school in their PE kit on PE day.

    In addition to PE, each year group gets a break (morning or afternoon) and a lunch break during the day.

    • Year 2 – Tuesday
    • Year 3 – Wednesday 
    • Year 4 – Thursday  
    • Year 5 – Thursday (P.E) & Friday (Swimming)
